About the game

Ushiro Stalker is a first-person psychological horror experience inspired by real-life events and personal testimonies.
The game explores fear through subtle human behavior, quiet tension, and the gradual loss of safety in everyday life.

You play as a foreign woman who has recently arrived in Japan, coming from Germany to begin a new chapter of her life.
Alone in an unfamiliar country, she enrolls in a Japanese school, hoping to adapt, study, and settle into her surroundings.
At first, everything feels calm and routine — daily classes, polite interactions, shared spaces, and the slow rhythm of ordinary life.

As the days pass, small irregularities begin to surface.
Seemingly harmless encounters start to feel uncomfortable.
Certain people linger too long, conversations feel strangely loaded, and familiar places carry an unspoken tension.
What once felt safe becomes uncertain.
Nothing is immediately threatening, yet the atmosphere slowly grows heavier, pushing you to question what is coincidence and what is intention.

The horror in Ushiro Stalker is grounded in realism.
There are no supernatural creatures or obvious dangers.
Instead, fear emerges from observation, silence, and the unsettling realization that politeness and normality can hide something deeply disturbing.
Language barriers, cultural differences, and isolation heighten the sense of vulnerability as you navigate everyday situations that no longer feel ordinary.
Designed as a short, focused experience meant to be played in one sitting, Ushiro Stalker builds tension through atmosphere, pacing, and environmental storytelling.
It is a story about paranoia, isolation, and the creeping fear that someone may always be just behind you — watching, waiting.
